think twice

just another day in paradise.

hater input... be leery of these wheels. i did a search for the XSP when i first saw the package and came across more than a few cases where the owners split the wheels. the worst case i saw was where a driver did a uturn on a country road with no shoulder and it just absouletly DESTROYED the rim. like split the thing in half. anyways, i know eniki makssolid racng wheels, but from what i read they are not too adept at handling the added weight burden of suv wheels.

just a heads up. link: 20" enikis split

Thanks for the info, I was/ am kinda worried about that as well, but I am hoping that if I find a new set, they will be updated/revised so they don't shatter on me. That would really suck, especially at over 1200 bucks.

wheels

if i remember youre just looking for something stocker to put on a Taco right? which cant weigh as much as a 4r. so that might be a selling point for you.

IMO 1200 is steep for trying to keep it looking stock, and there are better looking wheels than those enikis. just my opinion. i didnt research this but arent there different eniki 20s that came on the Taco prerunner? and also a different design that came on the sequoia. just some different options.

i know you also bought those 11 limited 20's and said they looked bunk, but ive been seeing a ballin blue 4dr taco in the garage at the office that has the same design only in 18s. i havent measured or looked but they HAVE to be 18s. just a thought you could see if that size/design worked better for your taste.

also can i throw in a plug for how retro-legit that cash money music is right now. remember that music where dubs were high society... now its STOCK. in that regard, they perpetuated and eventually shifted the cultural dynamic become accepting and inclusive of ridin on big rims. whoda thunk. cash money millionaires... cultural icons. plus weezy did coin bling bling. hes legit on a whole other level.

...this is what happens when kids grow up in atlanta. they pen thesis statements on the impact of rap music

YEah, i mostly want a "stock" wheel, but more than that those wt4 are just plain bad-ass, and they look better on a Taco imo. I do have the 4runner 20s and they look good on Tacoms, just not on mine. I added some flares and a lift, and it just looks mismatched. All the othe enkeis I have seen don't look good either, like the Tundra 18's and 20's. It looks like I might end up just keeping my stock wheels on there, since I can't find wt4s and even sparks Toyota doesn't allow purchase on their site. Thanks for the info.

what about those TRD beadlocks that are an option on the new tacos? i think they are only 16s though. and are prob more expensive than the xsp wheels.

a little off topic but i saw a kelly green wrangler with beadlockers that had color match paint around the outside ring... i thought, cool, put a little work into it. a little loud but run with it if thats your color... come to find out the f&(%@ is BONE STOCK from the dealer. some package they put together in detroit. so 16 year old danny mcanalbead over here in suburban atl is rolling with a ballin offroad package and it wont even touch an open field.

cool story huh?
