WTB: Factory JBL stuff.

If you've replaced your factory JBL speakers with something else, and your old ones are in good working order, I'd like to buy them. Make me an offer.

what all are you looking for?
I have everything except the stock sub box for sale if you're interested.

Well, I'm really looking for all the speakers, minus the sub and the two that go in the rear pillars. Now when you say that you don't have the sub box, do you mean the box itself or the sub and amp too? Because I think I might need the amp, although I'm sure there's some way I could work out using an aftermarket amp. What's your price?

I mean the box itself, I put a JL 8 with JL amp in the factory box. I also have a JL amp on my highs so I have no need for the stock amp. I honestly have no clue how much the system is worth but if you want to make an offer I have:

JBL Head unit w/ 6 CD changer & radio data system
JBL Amp
JBL 6x9 (or 6x8 whatever size it actually is) x2 (front door)
JBL 6.75 x2 (rear door)
JBL tweeters x5 (2 front, 2 rear, 1 center)
JBL 8" sub

I will try to look around a little later and see if I can figure out what they're worth but in the meantime if you want to make me an offer and I will probably accept it since I have no clue.

btw one of the adapters for the rear door 6 3/4 has a couple extra holes where I tried to use it as an adapter for the 6.5s but when you put the JBL speaker in you can't see the holes (since the 6.5 is smaller) and it doesn't affect functionality.. Also you probably already have these adapters in your non-JBL factory setup anyway from what I've been told

I got bored and took a picture for you of most of what I have. The amp, 2 rear tweeters and center tweeter are still in the car because I hadn't planned on selling the system, until I saw your post. If you really need pictures of those tweeters and the amp before you buy I can take them out but really don't want to deal with taking them out if you're not going to buy them for certain. I assure you the other tweeters and amp are in the same condition as the items seen here, maybe even a little better because these have been collecting dust for a month and the others are still in the car.

Also (since you don't have JBL) if you want the 3 extra tweeters not in your car, would you be interested in swapping body panels with me? (i.e. the mirrors in the back for the speaker grilles and the center speaker grill for whatever you have there instead)
This system was used by my 54 year old aunt from when she bought the car brand new in 2003 until about a month ago when I got the car for an early graduation gift and I immediately swapped out the speakers, so everything is in great condition with nothing blown or distorting.
I swapped out the system because I already had most of the system from my old Z71. I didn't take them out because they sounded bad, I got several compliments on the sound in the week I still had the JBL, but I wanted a custom (i.e. LOUD) system as that is what I've become accustomed to. Also, she used the steering remote mostly so none of the white lettering is smudged or rubbed off of the buttons, as is usually the case with older head units IME.
If you want more pics of anything specific, let me know and it won't be a problem.

anyway, as I was saying in my PM, I can't swap that stuff with you because I don't have it (see pic below), but even if I still did, my truck was a JBL equipped truck anyway so I had all the same stuff you did. Anyway, let me know what you think about the offer, it's the same as what you said in the PM just with the center tweeter as well. .....oh, and don't forget what I said about the sub... i won't be mad :wink2:

YOU HAVE A SWEET 4RUNNER! Did you buy it with all that body work? is it well done or is there wind noise? I've been debating on cutting the back end off like that on an old wagoneer but am scared it won't work out well...

Thanks man. It was my neighbor's before it was mine. He did the back end, not me. The whole truck is dynamatted so even if there was wind noise you'd never hear it. But since I live in FL i ride with the windows open everywhere, and I still don't notice any wind noise so I guess you could say it's well done (in that aspect).

And as far as the wagoneer goes, you should totally do it, just make sure you have a garage you can keep it in when you run into issues and need to take a lot longer than you planned! And since you're not THAT far away, you should just bring it to Tallahassee and we can chop that bad boy up together!
