Wtb: Need Shocks Asap

First of all I have a 1997 SR5 V6. I looked at my shocks and they are Tokicos; does any one know if these are stock gear? Any ways I need some shocks all around by this week. I will take used ones if they aren't too used. I don't have a lift.

Yup they are stock OEM ones. I've found they are good for 50-60k miles depending if mostly used on smooth roads. Not sure that mounting used shocks is worth effort - unless you find shiney new Bilsteins from someone that raised their 4Runner and just had to get new ones. Are you looking for a more Buick ride or a slightly stiffer more controlled ride? Old ones wore over time so you don't feel their performance dwindling -- new ones will greatly improve ride and safety (especially under heavy braking and at higher speeds).

For price/performance I like KYB ($220) and Rancho 5000 ($260) (made by Monroe parent company - Tenneco); For top $ and performance go with Bilstein ($380); for Buick ride Tokico or Monroe ($240 - but they frequently have buy 3 get one free).

Replace the steering stabilizer too.

Try autopartsauthority for pricing.
