Looking to buy 06+ Sport Edition headlights. Also, will trade for the pair of 06 SR5 headlights I currently have.

I have a set of 2007 Limited headlights w/ TSX HID Projectors Retrofit in them.

• You will just need to purchase HID bulbs, harness, balist, relay.

Thanks K.C., but I think the Limited and SR5 headlight assemblies are the same in that they both have the chrome in the interior portion of the headlight assembly. I'm looking for the Sport Edition headlight assemblies, because I want the smoked chrome look instead of the chrome look of the SR5 and Limiteds.

As far as I know from 2006-2009 all the headlights were the same for each trim level. They added the projectors in 2006, but as far as them being smoked or chrome there is no difference. If you want the smoked or darker look you will have to take them apart and paint the interior chrome pieces aside from the reflector bowls..I could be wrong, I have been before. I can tell you mine is a 08 urban runner (essentially a sport) and the headlights are not smoke or tinted at all..do a quick google search or search on here and see if you can post a pic of what youre talking about...

I stand corrected. I was able to find some replacements online that had the chrome slightly smoked. They were from an aftermarket manufacturer though. Im trying to look now to see if they have different part numbers from toyota...

My understanding is that they are smoked chrome from the factory, which would make sense since the grille on the SE is a smoked chrome grille. If you ever looked at the two side by side, the SE grille is a different color chrome than the SR5/Limiteds.

I've found a bunch at junkyards, but I was hoping to find a cheaper pair if possible, since this is a totally cosmetic change and I can't justify the expense for any other reason.

looking at toyodiy.com there are several part numbers in 08 for the headlamps. Didnt see as many in the 06 model. Looks like another one of those small subtle changes not too many caught on to. Probably would be hard to order them too.. I took mine in for them to repair the alcantara part on the drivers seat and they asked who put the seats in it. One of the small things they obviously didnt know was specific to the UR package. Anywho, sorry to threadjack for a second. Youre correct in the fact the chrome is slightly smoked. Probably to go with the slightly smoked grille..GL with your trade.

I was writing my response at the same time lol. I knew the grille was different, never had any idea about the lights..im gonna have to look into mine now and see if I got the sport lights or the sr5..Im pretty sure I have the sport because everything else on it is identical to the sport sans the interior and wheels..
