WTH with "content links" ?

It is annoying as hell to type reply or new tread and have automaticly attaching links to my words. Is that even legal? Makes everyone here look like a damn spamer...

Yes, that I get, but attaching hyperlinks to my printed text is like using an ink pen in the textbook. I think it takes adds one step too far. I'd feel insulted if, say: my postcard to Santa was edited with 0% interest for a Sled, free Raindeer food for a year and Garmin directions to the North Pole.

This is quite common among the forums that i visit...and that includes CLUBLEXUS and FJCRUISERFORUMS. I think that FJ forum is even worst than here. I think that these forms of advertising are relatively new, and thus shocks some people (rightfully so). However, almost every free forum i visit have them nowadays. Facts of life unfortunately. Hey, i don't like them anymore than you, but it is what it is.
