Hope I moved this to the right section. I thought I should keep it up in case anyone is interested in the pics of how I did the mod.
So I started this Satoshi mod then I decided to upgrade to 06-09 headlights and got the grille to hide the gaps. Since I got the '06 grille and have to Satoshi it now, I no longer have any use for this one and thought I'd see if anyone wanted to finish it.
This is different from some other 03-05 satoshi's on here in that it keeps the factory horizontal bottom bar fully intact and retains the factory secondary hood release.
I've already done all the hard work with fiberglass, flushing the bulge for the emblem, and most of the bondo. It looks ok now and maybe some would mount it but it still needs a little bondo work, sanding, and repainting to look amazing. There are some imperfections that need smoothing out. You can't see it in the pictures I took but if you PM me I will try to get you some better pictures.
I paid $40 +S&H on eBay for the grille and I have another $30-40 in everything (fiberglass, bondo, JB weld) to get it where it is now. I would like to get $50+ shipping out of it since I've put a lot of time into it and it will be very easy to finish.
I'm also willing to finish it, make it smooth, and paint it whatever your body color is but the price for that will at least double the cost for you because it will take more labor.
These pics pretty much show you what all is factory grille and what is bondo/fiberglass
As it is now painted Toyota Natural White (N56 I think?) but not quite smooth with black diamond mesh grille attached using stainless steel machine screws and locknuts.
