How much would shipping run to 02562 and what ballpark amount are you looking to get? Did you completely remove the XREAS setup from the car- if so do you have the reservoir available? Thanks!

Hi,
I think I was hoping to get between $75-$100 for the setup. I looked up shipping with UPS to your zip, and the estimated cost for ground shipping is approximately $78. I guessed that the weight of the 4 springs, struts, and hoses was around 75lbs. It would probably be more with the packing material.
Unfortunately I the reservoir is still on the car. Sorry

Do you know the difference in spring rates between this and the non sport suspension?
Also, are these interchangeable with the non-sport model shocks/springs?

Unfortunately I'm not sure about the differing spring rates. I don't believe that they are interchangeable because you need to the X-reas system and reservoir to use these shocks.

I believe that they are in working order, and they will definitely fit an 03 sport edition. They might need some more fluid added to them, because last time I looked, it looked like some had leaked out because one of the caps wasn't secure.

I have a leaking shock so I am learning all about this subject right now....
The service manual says specifically not to disconnect the hose from the shock at the joint, to avoid loosing fluid. If there is a leak you have to replace the shock. If there is a leak in the line you have to replace the line.
The manual also says "In the case of oil leakage from the system, replace both the absorber and the center unit as a set". That said, two dealerships said you can replace a shock only if only the shock leaked.
When you disconnect a line there is a specific way to disconnect to avoid fluid loss in the line or system. This is a pressurized hydraulic system with no provisions for bleeding. You can't have air in the lines (or shocks).
Just my opinion (from a knucklehead), but, I think the shock can't be refilled and reused.

You are right, you cannot "refill" them. They are a closed sytem setup and are pressurized from the manufacturer. You cannot simply pour fluid into them and tighten up the bolt. ftl
