Xenon Depot Extreme HID Install Question

I just received my HID kit today and was wondering if anyone can tell me where to connect the "car harness" plug as detailed in the installation instructions? Is is a white plug with two prongs inside, any help is appreciated.

That white plug should connect to the factory headlight harness (which is originally connected to the stock halogen bulb).
 
My Extreme HID kit arrived over the weekend and I installed it. Very easy to install. However, the hard part was how to bundle up the wire harness that came with the kit.

Overall, the kit was VERY easy to install and I love the white output!
 
Do you guys get a "humming" noise coming from the engine bay when the HID's are on? I took a look in my engine bay and it was coming from the ballasts, just wondering if that's normal or do I have defective ballasts? I never heard anything from my Nissan Maxima HID's before so I am just curios if this is normal.
 
I did not notice any noise at all..although the engine is runner and I have not stick my head in the engine bay to listen to the noise, but will notice if any noise coming out from the ballast

I get a "humming" noise from mine also. I received mine about 3 weeks ago and noticed it right away. I am also curious to see if this is normal. I haven't had any problems, so I'm assuming its okay.
 
There is a slightly different sound that you can hear, almost like when the TV is on but on a different input with no video signal is how I would describe it. But in any case, there is definately a sound there which was not before the HID installation. Mine are Philips ballasts FWIW. I say the sound is normal. Factory HIDs probably don't have the noise heard is probably due to how the ballasts are housed.
 
yes it is normal. due to the ballasts are exposed, when they are ignited, a large amount of power got transform, and those are the sound when the power is boosting to light up the xenon bulbs. factory HID cars don't have it are because they have ballast covers and the ballasts are well hidden so most of the sound is isolated. my 4R's ballasts are exposed by the fender area and i can clearly hear them every time i fire them up. but my other car ballasts are hidden underneath the headlight housings and i barely can hear them.
 
HID ?

I recently installed a kit from Xenon Depot. When i get in my runner in the morning the clock has reset and the windows have lost the memory function. I still have my presets on my radio but it appears that I am losing just enough power to make the clock and windows reset. What could be causing this problem?

Another ? When I turn on my headlights are they supposed to light up and then gradually get brighter? This probably takes about 10 seconds from when I turn them on till they are really bright?

Hello,

HIDs actually operate on less power than halogen bulbs. The harness that comes with out kit will power the ballasts directly from the battery as opposed to from the OEM headlight harness. If you disconnected the battery when you installed the kit, the clock and window memory would need to be reset.

HIDs do have a slight warm up period. This is normal.
