Xenon PRojectors

Just had someone try and explain to me that HID's in the stock 2006 projectors will not get the same effect. Is this true at all?

Please help.

Yes, the projectors were designed for a halogen bulb not a HID bulb.

Does that mean something bad will happen if I put in HID's?
Like ill blind everyone on the other side of the road?

No, it doesn't mean that at all. I have had them in my 4Runner for months and I only had to lower the beam a hair. There are plenty of others around here that have done it, also.

It's not that bad, but it just isn't the same as a projector designed specifically for HIDs. Lots of guys with the 06, have put the Xenon Depot HID kits and have posted the beam pattern which looked great. Also GX470 owners have done the same with similar experience.
