XenonDepot HID Bulbs Not Matching

Been on a mission swapping out all of my bulbs. Interior LEDs, Squadron Pro for the fog, XenonDepot HID low beams, and XD LED high beams.

Got everything in ok but my HID bulbs (Phillips 4300k) don't seem to match up in color temp. I am aware of the burn in period but I haven't seen anyone else mention this. While both are much brighter than stock the mismatch is super obvious in all aspects. I emailed XenonDepot and they told to me to wait for the burn in period and they should match up but I don't know if this aligns with anyone elses experience. Honestly doesn't seem right to me and I'm not sure I want to wait 100 hours for them to be mismatched still. Let me know what you guys think. Bad bulb? Bad Ballast? Wait it out? I'm stupid?

Edit 2: XD reached out to exchange the bulbs and see if it will correct the issue.

Edit 3: Received the replacement bulbs and noticed the same offset in color temp with the new bulbs. Couldn't tell if they were closer as I didn't leave them in that long. Picked the two bulbs I felt were closer together to 4300k color temp. Happy with it. Possible this is just normal and burn in time would have fixed it as I was initially told. I was unable to find anything about mismatch color temps with this setup so your mileage may vary. Contact XD directly prior to ordering if this is something that may bother you. Thanks XenonDepot for the support and for addressing my concerns.

Sounds like you have two different bulbs. They should both be the same color temp. despite them needing a burn in period. I have a XD set and they were identical. Their color temps did change slightly, but both at the same time. I would write them back and/or show them pics. Doesn't sounds right.

Just for my clarity, are you saying the color light of the left and right HID bulbs is different or that the pair of HID bulbs does not match the color of your other lighting?

Photo provided in first post. HID bulbs do not match and are different color temps. No relation to the color temp of the other lighting installed.

Silly question but did you check the lamp label to verify they are marked the same? There is enough color contrast shown in the photo that it really looks like two different color temperature lamps, as opposed to seeing a perceivable difference between two "4300K" lamps.
For troubleshooting fun you could swap the lamps to see if the color also changes. That will narrow down the likelihood of the issued being lamp or ballast related.

I didn't compare the bulbs at all before install. Once they were opened they went straight in one at a time. If my terrible memory is accurate they looked identical. I will try swapping them around in a little bit, definitely worth trying.

They are clearly two different color temps. I can see it on every surface and even in daylight. Couldn't tell you the accuracy of the white balance on my phone but it's irrelevant as both lights can be seen in the same photo and the relative difference left to right is obvious. Also I am not inquiring about color accuracy of the 4300k bulbs.

Would like to see [MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] chime in since this doesn't seem to be par for the course so far.

I did see someone else post about this recently with more pictures and almost the same message back from XD. BUT....I honestly cant remember if it was here or in one of the facebook groups I am in...it all runs together after a while. I think they ended up sending another message to XD with more pictures and asking them again to replace them and they did.

That happened to someone else a couple weeks ago, you probably got his half the order. I remember he contacted them and they sent a new bulb asap.

Just swapped the bulbs around and it is definitely the bulbs themselves. So doesn't appear to be the ballast.

I searched the forum to see if anyone else had this experience but didn't find anything. Maybe someone can find that post. If the answer ends up being that this is normal and burn in brings them closer together I'm ok with that.

I just don't have experience with HIDs to know for sure and it was a lot of money to look this goofy. I don't want to be driving around like the dude who only replaced one lamp, you all know what I'm talking about. Looks derpy.

Left is 4300K, right is 5500K

5500K is the way to go.

There is a break in time of around 40 hrs, but that will only help if the color is off by ~500k. In this case, it doesn't look like it will.
