i would like red turn signals, but if i do that, do i need one of those resistors?

If i do, then how would i wire them in, the bulb plugs in and gets electricity by contact into the base.

led reverse, but they're not bright enough...

Hi,

You would need to get resistors to avoid have a "fast flash"

The resistors come in an aluminum housing with a wire coming out of each end.
You would need to tap those wires into your vehicle's turn signal wires so that they see a load every time you use your turn signal.

You would need to connect the resistor to the bulb you are changing over to LED.
