I'd like to upgrade my headlights on my new 2004 Sport 4wd V8. Im a little confused as how to do it exactly but I'm also having a hard time understanding how white the 4300k really are? They look a little yellow from everything I've seen around the internet but I could be wrong.

I want as much light as possible (which I know is 4300k) but also a very white light to go with my white truck.

Can you tell me my options for lights as well as prices? I'd like to upgrade my headlights and fog to hid

Hi guys,

We just received a very detailed review of the XenonDepot Xtreme HID kit from one of our customers. If you want to check out the full review make sure to visit our Blog.

This customer installed the Xtreme HID kit with Philips 4300k bulbs to get that OEM hid look.

Philips HID bulbs will color shift after about 100 hours of use and will settle at around 4700k which gives them a really crisp, white look. As per the customer's review - "I found that 6500K left me wanting more distance. Looking around at other cars, it just seemed to me like I could get better light."

While 6500k does give you more color there is no functional benefit in going with a higher color temperature HID kit. Lumens is what determines brightness and a 6500k bulb will be rated at 20-25% less lumens than a 4300k bulb.

Also, check out the difference between the Osram Night Breaker Plus bulbs compared to the stock halogen bulbs! The Osram Night Breaker bulbs are much whiter and are perfect if you are looking to match your Fog Lights or High Beams to your HID lights.
