Hey, guys...I recently pruchased some XK Glow rock lights and installed them on my 2000 4Runner. I have been on a few night rides and have been itching to get some of these and thought these were a good deal.

Admittedly, when I got them, I was taken aback by how small they are. I thought they'd be bigger.
But, I hooked 'em up to a battery and they were pretty darn bright, so I went ahead with the install.
It comes with a full install kit, although I used some slightly larger wire for most of the wiring. Also, the wire connectors they supplied were less than stellar...more on that later.
So, I already have an aftermarket fuse box under my hood from my other 12V installs, so I just added this to that box.
Here is the inside the cab wiring...and, yes, my truck is dirty.
Then, I started looking for where to put the lights themselves. Side-note...if you have access to a lift...use it...I never want to crawl under my truck again (well, at least for a month). I decided on 3 on each side, up above the bottom edge of my slider bars to keep them protected (hopefully).
I also put two on the front and two on the back (up inside the frame rails).
So, after wiring everything up, using their little red connectors to tie the lights into my "main" power and ground lines, I started to wrap up the wires and shround them. As I was doing this, I grabbed a few of the connectors and it caused the lights to flicker or go off. Ugh. So, knowing that these are going to take a beating over their life, I ripped all of them off and soldered the connections instead. MAJOR PITA, but I feel much better about them now to last (the wiring at least).
