XM Being Installed Today

I am having the Toyota XM tuner installed into my 2008 4Runner Limited today, which will work with the SAT button on the factory NAV unit.

I saw the install kit and the little XM antenna seems to have a lot of wire, but they (by Toyota instructions) put it on the dash.

Has anyone undertaken the job of moving it up the A pillar and perhaps onto the roof?

Comments about reception with the antenna on the dash?

I think your lost. This is for threads regarding CLASSIC 4runners i.e. not 4runners made in the last 2 years. This would be better served in Audio Electronics.
