I haven't had any experience with Sirius, but when I had XM, I didn't really like it that much. Needless to say, after my free trial, I didn't renew the subscription.

I'm more of a music fan than I am a talk radio fan. When I would listen to music, it would be no better than listening to local radio. XM stations still played to most popular songs over and over, just like local radio stations do. I thought having it would mean more variety in music, more underground music, old school music, not the same five or so songs played every 20 minutes.

I have heard that Sirius is better for music, and XM is better for talk radio.

Also, towards the end of my trial, which was towards the end of the summer, XM started having commercials. I thought the whole point to paying for radio service is to enjoy commercial free music. I suppose cable tv started out commercial-less also.

I can't comment on Sirius from personal experience, just from what I've heard.

Both Sirius and XM will give you a free 3 day online trial. I listened to both this way before deciding on Sirius.

I had XM for about 2 years and i got sick of it and now i have Sirius and its way better if you like music and for sure if you like more rock type music, and they have maxim and howard stern. And now I got an e-mail saying there merging so hopefully i dont get those crappy XM stations back:rocker:

Sirius all the way. How can you go wrong with Octane, HairNation, Classic Rewind, and the Patriot channel. :bigok: Seriously.

Sirius for sure, I like the 90's Alternative station and the Jam band station.

Neither...the only option I had in Central Florida was XM...must be a regional thing. So I'll be getting an after-market Sirius installed soon!!

I have had Sirius for a couple of years now. I have been a couple of cars with XM and have been less than impressed. Maxim radio and Faction are great, and all of the NFL games are a big plus.

One of my buddies has XM so he can listen to the MLB games, there is the one up on XM.

I have had Sirius radio for about a year now in my 4runner and I love it. 4 hip hop stations are awesome, area 33 is insane not to mention maxim, and the playboy channel. I heard xm and would never switch.

I have had both. I liked the jazz stations on Sirius much better. Today I just play CD's or list to the local stations.
