XM Radio on Scion HU?

I have one of the Scion HUs in my 4Runner. I don't know the model number, but it's got the volume knob in the middle, with four buttons around it: AM, FM, CD, Sat. It's the one before the iPod version with the different colors.

Anyway, that Sat button, does it work? Is it for XM or for Sirius? Is there an SM receiver I can buy so that I can use the Sat button on the radio to change stations - how does all that work?

There are 2 options. Get the expensive SAT components from the dealer ($300+) or spend 1/2 to less than 1/2 for the Terk kit from xmfanstore.com.
