First, my old silver 99 Runner wishes y’all a Merry Christmas and happy trailing.

Second, I found out Saturday that my friend at work, her dad moved in and he drives a.......2007 4Runner SR5, dark Blue!! It’s a Florida truck with 23K on It
Practically brand spanking new still in diapers!!
She wants him to stop driving, he’s only 85, and I said I would buy that truck in a heartbeat.❤️❤️

I’m thinking pricewise it’d be what about $12-14K?
I’ll be getting pictures tomorrow since I’m going over for lumpia..mmmmm Filipino food.
It may not be a V8, but for an almost new truck I could go v6. Maybe 2019 won’t be too bad.

That’s not bad. Here in SoCal, model years like that with higher mileage around 120k and less goes for that price range. And with that color too, I’m jealous. Especially since you mentioned you’re having some lumpia.

That truck should sell for north of $20k. $12-14k is what ones with 100-150k miles go for in pristine condition here so it would be a steal at that price. One just popped up for sale with 58k miles for $26k but that is relatively high.

Check for frame rust first, pretty common issue with 4th gens at least, but it can be prevented if tackled early on.

My mom makes the best lumpia and pancit

Seriously though, I wish I had that kinda dough to buy a new-ish 4Runner.

Merry Christmas y'all

Edmunds Appraisal site says 9300 wholesale, 11200 person to person and 14600 dealer retail. Not sure what all options it has, guessed at the more common ones. Check for yourself to make sure you and he get a fair deal. I like the middle number for your purposes. Luck and Happy Holidays! :cowboy:

I wouldn't trade in your 135K 3rd Gen for the 2007. Even if you get it for a great deal without knowing more details. 4WD?

23K miles sounds real nice though. I hope you end up paying a fair price for it, not squeezing them. This is your coworker after all not some stranger. Also, does the old man want to sell his 4Runner? It doesn't sound like it.

If I was 85 and still wanted to drive I'd be pissed inside that my daughter pulled something to take my truck away and sell it to one of her work girls. Not exactly the right.

He’s not selling it yet and she won’t sell it from under him. I just said whenever he wants to sell, I’d like first crack at it. Still doubt he’d have even 50K on it.
I’d never do that to them.. undercut etc. we plan on going to Bataan in the next few years.
my best Marine bud is an Iwo Jima 92 years old who still drives and drinks like a Marine but lighter

Not selling my 3rd Gen either. Nope, I want to be buried in it love my Silver beast.

Someone mentioned Pancit.. she makes great chicken adobo too!! Y’all stay jealous!

This should work.
