Hi, I have Xreas on my 06 limited V8 and just curious if anyone that has had a leak before or has removed it knows what the fluid inside looks like. When i bought the truck a few months ago there was a big pile of 'tan' fluid on my driveway, not sure if its from mine or other cars that park there but my truck rides like garbage and i can feel every little bump in the road. I have billies and icons with FJ coils ready to go on. Just curious about the liquid color?

Not sure about the color (from my Xreas removal I want to say it was red) but if you're worried bout a leak, do a visual inspection of the shocks and lines. The lines run parallel to each other down the outside of the frame from the rear shocks to the front at which point they cross at the engine crossmember.
I would think the common leak points would be half way down the outside frame (just look underneath to the inside of the running boards) and at the shocks themselves (there's a disconnect point about 12" from the shock).

I don't remember what color it is, I could believe it being reddish as the AHC fluid for the LX470's system has a slight pinkish tint to it.

It's clear and smells citrusy, very viscous stuff. Spilled a bunch of it changing the shocks out, made my garage floor as slippery as an ice rink!
