The front left is connected to the right rear and right front to left rear. If one comes out, they all have to.

If you disconnect it at the rights spots, I think it should work. There are check valves near each shock so theoretically you shouldn't loose any fluid, though the system would no longer be operating as intended with the shocks no longer linked. It should do for short term if I had to guess.

Yes there are check valves near each tire to block off the lines. If you close them you can remove the 4 shocks and replace them with aftermarket. After that you can remove the 2 cent er sections of the XREAS hydraulics intact with just a little finessing of the lines at the front of the truck.
As I understand it you can't close the check valves, pull out the rear shocks, leaving the fronts in place. Gotta replace all 4 corners at the same time or LF + RR / RF + LR. Can't do Both rear then both front.

When I did my lift I did front one day and the rear the next day. I just disconnected the front at the pump on the frame rails, and removed everything forward of the pumps. I left all the rear stuff for later. I'm sure it would work the other way around too. It didn't leak, and I didn't notice any issues for the ~20 or so miles I drove it like that.

Thats what i wanted to know. If i could "technically" use the fronts with the rears disconnected from the rest of the system. How long that would work is the big question. It probably won't make a difference since the system is dead anyway.
Just sucks that bilstein has the front system on nationwide backorder. Even if they catch up they will be taken by everyone who is waiting. Then they will go out of stock again.

Yeah, I've got no clue how long you could ride this way. I mean the only thing you really risk damaging is XREAS related and maybe the strut top hats. Lifting a 4th gen nowadays though, you should be replacing the top hats and all the little bits when doing the install.
I only did mine that way because I didn't feel like finishing the rear when I finished the front. Fought rusty bolts and was tired lol. I had all my parts though, wouldn't have started the job without having everything on hand.
