4600 vs 5100 … people say it’s essentially the same shock because the internal tech is the same but there are differences. 4600 is for stocks trucks, and 5100 is for lifted trucks, but people also report valving differences between the two so I wouldn’t mix and match.
You can certainly use the 5100 for stock height trucks as well. I think they are slightly firmer in valving and give you more versatility if you ever wanted to lift. They are certainly more popular. I used the 5100 on a different truck without a lift and the results were excellent.
I personally would stick with the 5100 on all 4 corners if you just wanted a budget setup, I consider them a high quality OE replacement. I have used lesser shocks in the past only to dislike the ride or find they don’t last nearly as long.
