XREAS Revtek lift

I have a 2010 2WD T4R that im gonna trade in on either a trail or a limited w/ 4WD. But if i get the limited i want to lift it, some of the forums say revtek will work on it, but there website clearly says it won't work w/ the XREAS.

Can the XREAS be lifted safely, either body lift or suspension with out damaging the XREAS system?

I have a limited and got rid of the xreas for some dual reservoir icons. If you are going to put in new shocks then no Xreas will no longer be funtional, the system is crosslinked. You may be able to retain xreas if you go for a spacer in the front and longer coils in the back. But if you dont mind spending a bit more cash I would highly recommend going for some coilovers and getting rid of the XREAS. My truck drives and handles so much better with the coilovers.
 
I used the "easy install" kit from Daystar on my Limited. It's about $150 and lifts 2.5 inches in front and 1.5 inches in the rear. It works with X-REAS and you can fit 33's. It's the perfect kit for a daily driver with mild offroad use. The ride is near factory and 275/60-20's fit the oem rims quite well.

I'll swap to an Icon or similar setup when my rig is old enough to get brush-whipped in a few years...(or when the wife isn't looking!):biggrin2:

on my 2010 SR5 i have charcoal leather, and i want beige leather in my new one.

So the daystar spacers can definitely be safely installed on the xreas suspension and won't cause damage correct, im going for 90% aesthetics, i drive 60k a year in the city

I had Toytec spacers on my Limited with Xreas when I first got it.It can be done! The problem is finding someone to do it as most shops don't want to be responsible for disconnecting the hydraulic lines.No shops around here would touch it and I did it myself with a spring compressor in the wheel well.Never do that again . They can't be serviced if the fluid is lost,even by Toyota and if the check valve doesn't hold or they disconnect at the wrong place ,they will have to pay to replace the bad half. That's big bucks from Toyota.

like your pics, that is exactly the look i want on my 4runner. Was your day star lift 2.5 front and 2 back or 1.5 back. Also daystars website says its not compatible with the 5th gen 4runner, and the local shop wont install it, did you do yours your self?

Last question would 265x65 tires fit on your configuration or is 275x60 the largest you could fit?

....but yes, I used the Daystar KT09115BK Kit (2.5f/1.5r lift) on my 2010 Limited. It works great and X-reas is not affected. My tires are 32.99 inches tall, and I wouldn't go any taller.

I want to do a 2/1 or 2.5/1.5 lift on my 2011 4R Lmtd. I just got off the phone with DayStar, and the tech guy said they haven't produced a spacer lift kit for the 2010-11 4Runner w/Xreas yet,... probably out next month. I specifically mentioned kit #KT09115BK, and he said it wouldn't work on 2010-11 models. Also, ToyTek says the Daystar spacers mount on top and wear out the ball joints and are dangerous. Really?

I saw KT09133BK & KT09134BK mentioned elsewhere on T4R as front & front&rear kits, but are they for 2010-11?

Very confusing,... I'll call DayStar again tomorrow for a different rep, and maybe a different answer.

Any advice is appreciated!

Just got off the phone with a different rep at Daystar,... their new kit for the 2010-11 4R is #KT09134BK @ $160,... due out in two weeks.
Anyone had bad experience with Daystar spacer kits???

Does the void the warranty? I wanted to get bigger tires and was wondering if it voids the factory warranty, well that and I bought the extended warranty.
 
I hate to beat a dead horse but after some searching, there seems to be some mixed answers out there.....

I just purchased the KT09115BK Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit for my 2011 SR5 and am a little confused as to whether it will work or not.

Earlier in this thread Tux stated that he used this kit; however, nearly everyone else with a 5th gen has used the KT09124BK (FJ kit).

Will I be able to use the 03-09 4Runner kit (KT09115BK)???

On a side note, I spoke with someone at Daystar and he said there will be a 5th gen Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift in "two weeks or so". If you'll notice, someone earlier in this thread said the same thing on 9-28-11....Apparently "two weeks" is a generic statement.

I was advised today by Summit Racing that they heard from DayStar and the KT90134BK spacer lift kit for the 2010-11 4Runner will be available soon, and they can now order.

Hey Maintz I already asked in another thread (so disregard it), but how was the install of the KT90134BK? I am looking to rip out the Toytec leveling kit and install the DayStar instead (to allow slightly larger rubber). Let me know your initial thoughts of the lift (ride quality, installation, ect). Thanks!! :hungry:
