Xreas

Hello my first post here. Got a 2005 V8 Limited w xreas. Completely stock x for new sound system. 148k miles and thinking of a 2015 or 2016 4Runner or upgrading suspension. Does the xreas complicate that? Getting say the FJ coils and Bilsteins or similar does the xreas factor into complexity of the upgrade?

Not at all, as long as you're replacing all four corners you'll be fine. Just pull the entire xreas system and swap in the new.

Best to remove it all and replace with whatever you choose to use. It's expensive to replace the parts so they're extraneous with anything else. I tossed all my parts when I replaced mine.

Yeah, you better remove it, since it is ridiculously expensive to replace if you like OEM parts. Mine started to leak at 160k and I purchased 3" Toytec Ultimate kit, pulled out X-REAS and RAS in about 5 hours and installed the kit. Easy to do if you handy with the tools. I did not bother to remove all the lines. New suspension offers better performance on/off road and gives a lot more confidence over rough terrain.
