Xtec 5k HID 9006 kit - pics

Got bored and decided to see how the Runner would look with a hid kit.

This is the Xtec 5k hid plug-n-play kit. Easy install PERFECT light.

The fogs are supposed to be 4k lights...but I might have to go higher (4800/5000) to match the headlights now.

This is the 35watt kit, the 50watt kit is supposed to be brighter, but I'd be affraid of that because the 35watt kit is SO bright. NIIIIICE white light on the road and it lights up for a LONG way in front of me. SO much better than the regular bulbs.

The "blue" hazing around the lights are from the digital camera (purple fringing to those who are familiar with digital photography), you dont see any blue when looking at the lights...just clean white with just a TINY hint of blue.

If you want whiter, go with the 4500k kit....thats personal preference, but I fully recommend the kit no matter which K bulbs you get!

Remember I am using Japanese headlights, so I'm sure that throws things off a little bit.

The light pattern is no different from when I had regular bulbs...just brighter and whiter. The color is PERFECT for me! and it is briiiight. I dont blind the person in front of me or oncoming traffic...unless someone stares at the lights, then they might be blinded.

If I decide I dont want them in the headlights, I can always move them to the fogs but I think they are great in the low beams so thats where they'll stay unless I get lots of complaints about glare.

yes, any car...just pick the type of stock bulb you have so the adaptor will be the right one...plug and play

I will try to get pics tonight against a wall for comparison. Driving with these is GREAT! on my way home tonight the lights impressed me a LOT...also, I dont blind the person in front of me nor oncoming traffic

5K for the fogs will be useless in the snow/rain/fog.

I'd go with 3K for the fogs for best visibility under harsh conditions.

i recommend that you aim it a little lower, too high for a low beam pattern. looks like alot of scattered light beam.

yes the fog lights are on

thanks for the advice, I will aim them a little lower...I got my brother to drive in front of me at different distances and he said it didnt blind him or anything...but I'll lower them just a tad
