Alright... here's the deal. After a loooong wait... ( Dec. 1st 2007 to be exact).... I FINALLY got my runner. Well... it came in last thursday, but I was waaaay too busy driving to post anything.
I will appologize ahead of time for a possible lengthy e-mail... and also because I don't have pics yet. But we all know what a black TR4 Sport looks like.
This is what I ordered:
2008 4Runner Sport
Black
V8 4x4
NAV
JBL
X-REAS
Shelf System
and ofcourse all the usuall stuff that comes with it and the nav.
I have to say the thing drives AMAZING... I'm not sure if this is a cause of the xreas or if all the runners ride like this. The gas milage is alot better than what I expected.... and the engine is super quiet.
Do all the sports have black seats or are they charcoal?? My seats came black which suprised me....but they look sick!
The NAV is not nearly as cumbersome as I figured it might be. Also I know alot of people have complained about the harshness of jbl system and the lack of low end. I'm a Sound Designer/Recording Engineer by trade... and I have to say... the system sounds pretty smooth. Its not window rattling... but its enough.
If I was expecting an 8 when I ordered the truck... I recieved an 11! Its the perfect balance between lux and truck.
I'm geting the windows tinted today... and then I will start to think about whats next.
I think my plans are some 265 BFG AT's with either a 2/1 or a 3/2 lift. I know several of you guys like the 285 or 275's on the 3/2, but I don't want to get too crazy with it... and as it is, I think the stock size tire fills the wheel well nicely... they just need some tread and a little height. My last truck was a 00' Tacoma... it had a Fabtech 3" and 33x12.5 BFG's. I loved it... but I don't want this one to be as high... I just want it a touch more aggressive.
