Hi, a small question for any one with a Yakima Load Warrior.
I'm going sking next weekend and was wondering if you can attach ski transporters to the Load warrior.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes you can mount Yakima Ski carries directly to the front and rear load bars of the Load Warrior.......the front and rear load bars on the load warrrior are the same diameter as the standard cross bars, so most accessories attach just fine.

This doesn't allow much room directly under the skis/boards when you have them in the ski carrier, the basketdepth is only like 6-6.5" but you could have gear on the side of the skis/boards in the basket..

So basically the ski mounts would ride on top of the basket on each edge, right?

A bit off this topic, where did you got your Dog net? Do you have any photos of how it looks? Have the same problem with my gold lab. Black interiors and gold labs hair don't mix that well.

And the K&N intake, how does it perform? Do you hear a bit more the intake sucking inn the air?

Thanks

yes the ski mounts would attach to the front and back bars of the Load warrior. Quick photo paint job for you...the ski ratio looks a little out of whack but hopefull this gives you an idea..

.................

I also have the black interior with a yellow lab so I needed something to keep her in back, with the cloth seats for sure! I have used a pet gate in the past, but with the shape of the rear seats I felt like I was losing space using one of those, plus I am always putting my seats up and down to carry items, so I didn't want to have to always deal with a metal bar system....but they are more secure and the dog won't get through them as easy.

The net is about a 5 out of 10.....The odd shape of the interior of the 4r doesn't provide very high mounting points for the top of the net and also the mounting points on the side are not easy to find so it stays taunt. So ifyou look at the net in the picture (not my car) you will see a slight sag in the top of the net. this is more pronounced in the 4r. I used an extra piece of velcro to attach this point to the roof of the truck. If you have a dog that will try and get through this they will eventually know they can just rip it down....my dog is trained enough to know she needs to stay back there or at least is supposed to, so this keeps her from jumping up when I am driving, the main reason I got it....She has gone through it a few times when I am in stores running errands for a long time....but normally she just sits back there with no problems.

I got it at Petsmart....

Here is the thread for those of us who have installed the full intake

For me I really love the added HP and also the throaty sound it gives the V8 when you get on the gas. I am not in too those really loud look at me mufflers/intake combos that always are loud and annoying.....this intake gives you a good sound only when you really want to give it the gas. But the added HP was noticeable for me and the first reason I got it. Sound was second and the 1-2 mpg increase was third...
