Anyone have pics of the megawarrior roof rack on their 4Runner? Im debating the mega or load but I don't want it over the edge.

Thanks!

The mega is the perfect size for the 3rd Gen, it sits a few inches from the sides of the roof, loadwarrior would be way too narrow.

My mega warrior hung over way to much I took it off the next day and sold it, go with the load warrior for sure, if I have the pictures I'll post them but I don't think i do

I have the loadwarrior with the extension and tire carrier. I just installed it and I love it. The megawarrior seemed too wide for me. I go wheeling in a lot of tight spaces and decided the loadwarrior was a better fit. I was worried the megawarrior would be a great way to snag a tree branch. If you are concerned about the width, go for the loadwarrior. I recommend getting the extension, too because it gives you a lot more cargo room. I can put my tire, jerry cans, firewood and other stuff on the roof for long trips.

I could put up a pic later if you are interested.

I would like to see a photo! Do you have a sunroof as well? if so does the rack block it or get in the way with the extension?

Thanks!

Here's some quick pics I took tonight. No sunroof but I think you would be fine. Mine sits as far back as possible without getting in the way of the hatch. I dislike how wide the crossbars are that the rack sits on but I will probably trim them down, its easy to do. I cheaped out and didn't go for Yakima crossbars, which I believe aren't as wide. My roof had no OEM roof rack or tracks so I had to rivet it right into the roof! It sits kind of high on the roof, but unless you are willing to go with an expensive Gobi rack or something that's just how it goes. Overall I really like the look and I am happy. Also you get 40% off??!? That's a steal!

Please ignore my shitty stock winter tires haha

Wow thank you for the photos! I plan on putting my spare up there as well good to see it fits with the extension bar perfectly! Thank you!

found a couple of my daughter's 4runner with the load warrior and tire carrier.

Frankly, I would worry about the weight going any larger than the load warrior. I found when we were wheeling in the San Juans, the weight of the spare and the fuel was enough to slide the load warrior basket around on the yakima crossbars. I dont care how much you tighten down the towers and the load warrior basket, with that kind of weight and banging down trails it wants to shift around. The load warrior is useful, but the mounting system to the crossbars is just plastic and rubber mounts holding onto the crossbars.

You're welcome! Hope this helps you decide. Also, you can move the extension bar from rung to rung so it really won't get in the way.
