YAKIMA Megawarrior or Loadwarrior?

Here's mine with a Megawarrior I got for cheap from a friend. It was a bit too wide for me, I took it off for a trip to tahoe, and never put it back on because I'm getting a full length rack from Infidel Garage so I didn't really have a reason to. If I were to get another one I'd get a Loadwarrior with an extension like SIKHILUXSURF

I love my mega warrior roof rack got it cheap on craigslist also surface mounted it directly to my roof tracks so it obviously doesn't stick up as high making it a cleaner look…

Load warrior, I think it's pretty close to taking the entire roof, I have bike racks on the side so it gives me room for pedals, mega would be close to flush with the bike racks.

Doesn't it drive you guys insane having the rack mounted up so frigging high on top of the cross bars?

having it mounted lower like cahaight posted looks a lot better IMO

and probably results in better mileage

Roof rack

It was a bit tricky,removed the entire roof rack,obviously take off upper cross supports and thru drill roof protection brackets with SS self tap screws into rack,in hind sight probably would have been stronger with thru bolts,haven't had any problems in over a year ...
