Yakima Roof Racks

Im going to buy a yakima laodwarrior roof rack. Do i have to buy anything else to connect it to my roof that already has a stock rack?

Nope, it will come with everything you need to install it onto your 4runner's cross bars.

ohhh.but i am buying it used and it does not come with default yakima clamping brackets. How much do those cost?

I think they are called mighty mounts that will adapt any Yakima components to our factory roof racks. Expect to pay about 30 bucks from a retailer.

Of course, I have only attached bike racks and snowboard racks to my machine. You'd better wait till you get your load warrior and see what you get before you go buying mounts.

actually, the ones I have look like this

but still fit the crossbar, its a little heavier duty than the horizontal ones which are used for snowboard/ski/bike racks...

see if you can find some on craigslist, I found a guy just selling a spare tire carrier attachment for yakima... will be cheaper.
