Yay or nay?

16" Toyota Six Star Rims
So yay or nay for a 3rd gen? I found these for cheap and planning on getting a 3rd gen real soon. I'm not too into the stock 3rd gen 6 spokes rims and these are pretty cheap. I would either spray paint or powder coat them black or charcoal gray (depending on what color runner I get). They are pretty cheap and might look good, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, they are decent looking and are a great price. I would go for it in a heartbeat if they were in NE.

Yeah I was thinking some 285/75 Duratracs or Destination AT's. If I end up not using them I can always sell them.

I say nay, IMO, the look doesnt match the 3rd gen. Maybe im just used to seeing them on 4ths that look like soccer mom suv's

Have to say Nay too, chief. Personally, I think Toyota's stock rims are horrible. Their only two rims I like that are made by Toyota. Rims for first 3rd gen 4R was one.

NAY! Find some limited 5 stars or the 17" sequoia/tundra wheels.

Those 4th gen 6 spokes are the ugliest rims Toyota ever made in my opinion.

I'm on the nay side too. I think on the 3rd gens, you need a wheel where the center is set back at least a little bit. But that is just my opinion!

I don't think they're bad, but the stock 5 stars looks the best as far as OEM wheels go.

Yeah I know what you mean. I think the 5 stars are the best oem rim toyota has made. The sequoia rims are right there with the 5 stars.

I want to get some 5 stars or sequoia/tundra rims, but they are so expensive and the tundra rims are becoming the new black rim of the 4runner world.

Yeah that was one of my issues with the rims. I like brian2sun's soft 8's and the rims you are running best.

I decided not to pursue them as well because right now I only have the cash for either rims or tundra coils. Obviously the tundra coils take the cake.
