The other day I was cleaning my 4th gen, I noticed a yellow hue or tint to my front headlights. Gross....it appears to be at the top of the housing.
I did some research on here and found some fixes then ventured to my local Pep-boys to pick up some Meguires Plastic X. I got side tracked when staring at my different options and instead picked up Blue Magic - Head Light Lens Restorer. It actually wasn't a kit, just some paste that looks and smells alot like their metal polish.
Anyways, I tried it out....upon the first cleaning, the yellow pretty much came right off. I was surprised. I got alittle greedy and hit the lights about 4-5 times with the stuff. It cleaned up really well. After I let blue magic do its thing, I add a light coat of regular wax to help minimize the scratches. I should of gotten clear plastic wax but didn't think about it. Overall, great results. The yellow for the most part is gone. The Blue Magic stuff even protects so that it helps keep yellowing away, something that none of the other stuff advertised, so I was sold.
I also put this stuff on my fogs...and it got rid of some haze on it...looks great!
Just thought I'd let you know my experience...my headlights weren't super yellow or all messed up, so sanding wasn't needed or anything dramatic like that, I just needed something that would clean them up.
