I have been reading over and over every post about MPG and tires/lift.
I'm going to be putting a Daystar 2.5"/1.5" lift on and can't decide what tires to run to try to keep my MPG as high as possible! Currently I'm getting 18-19MPG mixed driving it would be a sham to see the MPG drop 2 MPG, that adds up to $500 a year loss, not to big a deal but it factors in.
I'm thinking buying 255/75R17 just for the better MPG over the 265/70R17. Is this a bad idea?
Also how much does the weight of the tire effect the MPG? people say a lot. The BFG k/o's weight a lot, BFG's new rugged terrain (not trail) looks nice and weights a lot less.
Thanks:thumb3:
