This tire size seems to b about as rare as Bigfoot. After reading a ton of posts, I think I’m relegated to sticking with the OEM size and maybe new wheels.

so just to confirm what was said.. does 1''' lift on the Pro clear all rubbing issues but on off road trd venture the mud flaps will rub but nothing serious right

Lol. Somewhat true. I had 275/70-17's on my Pro when stock, but, they were E load KO2's. Too heavy and a little too harsh. Switched to SL Wildpeaks in 285/70-17's and like them.

I stated that I added 1.5" Cornfed spacers to my front Pro setup and 1" Cornfed spacers to my rear setup. With 285/70-17's without modding anything else I clear with only very slight rubbing under full articulation. On a Pro this would equate to ~2.5" lift up front and 1" lift in the rear. Center of hub to top of fender arch is 22.5" front and 23.25" in the rear.
I personally would not put 285's on without a lift.
Guys. Lift does not affect where tires rub when if you're wheeling. The arc in which suspension travels DOES NOT change with more height, you're just setting the baseline (where suspension sits when parked) at a different point of its travel. Now, there are ways to stop uptravel with bump stops so you don't stuff the tire in as much, then there is long-travel suspension and UCAs that push the wheel out, but that's not what we're talking about here. Fundamentally, IFS lift does nothing for tire clearance. Nothing at all.

Your addressing the wrong member here. I was responding to member Gouranga about inquiring about the 1” lift, in which, I stated in a previous post to member what my setup was with the additional 1” lift up front on the Pros along with the fender mod. I liked and agreed with your post on improved approach and departure angles and undercarriage clearance. I stated, “I personally would not put 285’s on without a lift.” That is my personal opinion for the aforementioned benefits as stated and in my case aesthetics also. I think you should have made this a general reply or to Gouranga. No harm. Just clarification.
