Yeah, I think most of us see this pic below when we think of a Tercel.

I got mine from the tercel 4WD for free so I could deal with not having the altimeter, as the tercel has the 4WD light instead.
This is what I did. I took it out of the outer padded case and fibreglassed around the inner plastic housing. I added a mini LED flashlight that had two LEDs and re-routed the bulbs to go behind the gauges. I then added a cell phone holder mount and painted it.

That is SO SICK!! Exactly the kind of thing I was gonna look into doing, I know I wanted to rehouse it in another shell... Doesnt it need to be wired to something for the backlighting though?? I dont see where yours runs to get power??

That little NOMA thing is a flashlight and takes two flat batteries (which last a long time). The main thing was that this little flashlight had a constant on feature so it would stay on without keeping the button depressed. So when I need the light on I just touch the switch on the back which I made the hole for.
I wanted mine to be removeable and not rely on any wires.
I kept the inner white plastic housing to build the fibreglass around and just went crazy with the sander to make it nice and smooth.
The outer housing with the vinyl just looked ghetto so that wouldnt work. Also, if I am in a position to need and inclinometer I do not want to be looking down near my radio.

Im wondering what kind of housing I can use on it that will still keep the faceplate and if I could use something like this

and then I could rehouse the Inclinometer in a smaller casing??

but what would I house it in? Im not having any luck finding any battery powered LEDS or something I can rehouse this in, tried a bunch of places, the guys at Radio Shack were dumb and Jazz it up even said to call them.

any ideas??
