I think I saw a thread that covered something like this, oh no it's the gas gauge, battery voltage and something else that he housed in just under the tray on the stereo console, although alot of fiberglassing was involved, it turned out nicely..but the pillar gauge pods you were thinking is a smart idea..the location is still within your sight while driving..takes a quick glance as opposed to looking under the stereo...I'm sure you can modify those pods to fit both gauges in..

yeah, fiberglassing is what the guy posted on the first page, he encased his in fiberglass, how and where do I find stuff to do that??

you can find stuff for fiberglassing at any hardware store, you need fiberglass mesh-very itchy stuff to work with, resin and catalyst, a hardening agent.

you gotta start by making a mould, just like what custom stereo installers does, lay your fiberglass over it and brush/roll in your mixed resin and catalyst. ready your acetone for any clean up. I'm makin' it sound simple to do, aren't I?
