I know I'm about the 1,000th person to post this, but I always enjoy reading what new lift owners have to say. I installed the Cornfed 3"/2" lift today on my '05 Sport. Got it from Burtman (great guy and great service... just like everyone always says), it took a little over 2 weeks to arrive, but that was b/c thanksgiving fell right in the middle of that. On to the details...

I installed it at a friend's shop. He has the whole set up, lift, air tools, etc... This made the whole deal MUCH easier and FASTER. I've got some serious respect for you guys that installed in your drive way with jack stands and hand tools. Did the rear first, and had it done in probably 30 min. Had a little trouble getting the driver side coil back in after doing the passenger side first. With the spacer on top of the coil it was tough to get the bottom of the coil to seat, so we broke out the coil compressor and it was in no problem. I think this was due to dropping the whole axle at once instead of doing one side at a time.

The front is a little tougher. I definitely recommend disconnecting the upper A-arm balljoint on the front suspension. This isn't in the Cornfed instructions but after reading write ups on here and other sites for the past 6 months it was a no brainer. The coil/shock assembly just drops right out and makes spring compression for those of us with xreas alot easier. The front took a little over an hour. I can't imagine trying to do all that work bent over on the ground working with jack stands (again serious respect for those that have done the install that way). The whole install took 2 1/2 hrs, this can definitely be done in under 2 hours after doing it once.

I was concerned after reading all about how the ride stiffens up on the rear, but I seriously cant tell a difference. It rides more like a truck now to me, but I think thats just from the higher ride height. I went over speed bumps, rough roads, interstate and I can't tell a difference. I really didnt know what to expect it to look like in person after the install. To me it looks "correct" now, sits up like I think a 4Runner should sit. None of the pictures on the internet really do it justice. I'm getting new tires Monday and then doing an alignment. Here are a couple quick pics of before and after. I'll post more after the tires are installed and I finally get a chance to clean it up.

The ground wasn't perfectly level right there but I'll get better pics in a couple days.

I'll take more pics with actual measurement after I get the tires installed today. Ive got all the measurements from various points from before with stock size tires, after lift with stock size tires and I'll have after lift with upsized tires too. I'll post all this later.
