Ive read and read and read and read, and done just a little more reading, maybe a little research.

If you go ahead and buy the supercharger off of Ebay, or whereever you maybe lucky enough to find one for the rth Gen V8. Will TRD/Toyota still warranty your engine/drivetrain? Especially if they install it. They meaning your dealership of choice?

This just dawned on me, while reading another post.

Their selling them, the 4th Gen 03/04 V8 SC are no longer on hold, they are selling them, check the websites that sell them;):

http://www.partznet.com/toyota/4runner/TRD Parts/supercharger.html

see if that works, it's the link on the top of t4r.org, even though it say it is on hold below it says in bold, then keep scrolling down and you will see it $4050.00

The TRD 4.7L V8 Supercharger is now approved for installation on all 03- 04 Trucks/SUVs, including the new 2004 Tundra D-Cab.

Also read:TRD has implemented a new part number change for all 2003-2004 V8 Superchargers effective December 15, 2003. There is now one main supercharger assembly part number and a set of unique Vehicle Installation Kit part numbers that represent each individual 2003 and 2004 application as detailed in the chart below. Each Vehicle Installation Kit includes application-specific TRD supplemental ECU and hardware.

Will the V8 supercharger work on a V8 with V V T-i ??? I thought they were only for the 2003-2004 V8 engines.

The SC as of now will not work with the VVTi motors, several members on TundraSolutions with 05 Sequioas and Tundras can't even put headers on the V8 cause their is injector tubing in the way.

It's only up to 04;):

379 HP??? From the 4.0 V6.....

Is the X-Runner a 4WD vehicle? I wonder what that S/C will do to reliability?

It seems better suited for a sports car.

The x-runner is a RWD 6 speed manual sport truck.

A lot of people run TRD SCs in the last gen Tacomas and 4Runners. But the 4.0 is all new and quite different
