Hi all, hate to bore everyone with another thread about tires, but here it goes. I drive almost exclusively on road, but do occasionally have to do mild off road excursions camping and such. I am replacing the OEM Bridgestone Dueller D840's at 78K, and would love to find a tire that will produce the same mileage while handling well and having good comfort. I live in Indiana, so we do get some snow in the winter, but proably 3/4 of the year the worst i have to put up with is rain. I am torn between several tires, and would like to hear others opinions/experiences with handling and wear. Here is my short? list:
Bridgestone Dueller D840's (was the treadlife a fluke?)
Continental Cross Contact LX (free GPS right now)
General Grabber HTS
BF Goodrich Longtrail T/A tour ($70 rebate on 4)
I would be especially interested in the BFG tires as I haven't heard them talked about on the boards. Thanks for the insight!
