Yet Another Tire Recommendation Thread

Its time to replace both sets of my tires, Crossterrains and Revo2's as they have both had it at this point. I know the Revo2's are still in production but from the research I have done so far, as well as from reading other threads it looks like there may be some newer models out there that perform better.

I'm running stock 265/65/17's with no lift at the moment. I do about 90% on road driving with around 10% offroading. Given my time and current finances I haven't been going offroading much lately. However I do want to get something that I can go out on the trails or washes without any real trouble. Thats why I ended up with the Revo2's last time and loved them.

I wouldn't mind ordering Revo2's again, the prices are good still as well but figured with those newer models its probably time to rethink it and maybe get something thats just as capable but may ride more comfortable or quieter?

Check out the Cooper AT3 reviews. So far I'm happy with them barring the loss of mpg. I did go with 265/70/17s and had no rubbing issues before I lifted the truck and none after, either.

I am on my 2nd set of Falken Wild Peak AT in 265/70 17. I love the quiet and comfortable highway ride, good winter and offroad traction. My first set lasted over 55,000 miles and they are a 50,000 mile warranty tire.

I am a 95% road / 5% offroad driver.

If you can wait until November Michelin will have the new Defender series in our size which is supposed to be a pretty hot tire replacing the LTX M&S with better tread compounds for wet and dry grip and longevity. It is out now in other sizes, just not the 17" for the 4Runner . That is what I am going to change to but I have about another 6 months of tread on my Nitto Crossteks which have been decent.

I just ordered a set of 5 AT3's and have 5 new TPMS sensors to install. Discount gave me a pretty good deal with two rebates totalling $145 back as well. Getting rid of all my old ones too as they are all worn or starting to dryrot (9 total to get rid of).
[MENTION=81484]wahoossi[/MENTION] I probably could have waited a little longer but not until November. My front Revo's are completely gone and although I could rotate the rears up to last a few more months one of the TPMS sensor batteries died and the blinking dash is annoying the shit out of me.
