Yet another wheel/tire question

Hey guys,
I have relied on this forum for just about everything I've ever done to both my 3rd gen and 4th gen. Write ups here are great. After reading tons of posts I know all about the search feature of the forum.
I have been reading for weeks trying to find a similar wheel/tire setup so I wouldn't have to ask. Cannot seem to find the same setup on here to know if it will fit. So here it goes.

My 06 4th gen 4x4 has the daystar 2.5-1.5 spacer lift. I am looking at new wheels and tires.

Wheels are 20x9 Xd badlands. -12 offset, wanting to pair them with 275/55/R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Will they fit? I know I will need to move the front plastic fender well piece behind the fog lights. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Well, not sure why you want 20's with a three inch lift, BUT, the total diameter of that tire is just under 32" so I think you'll be in good shape provided that the rims are no wider than 9 inches with the -12 offset that you had mentioned. Any more than width than that and I think you may be pushing it as far as having to start cutting plastic.

The only members I can think of with 20s either have 305s (33s) and more lift or stock size tires.

People with 275/70R17s or 275/65R18 are running about size tires.

I had the exact size tires on Daystars. Only difference is my setup was on 8.5" wide wheels. You can see them on my build thread (link in sig) on pages 1-4. It's a great size and fit. You'll need to push your front fender liner forward and remove the front mud flap. Other than that, you should be good to go with no additional rubbing. You'll really like the size. I'm thinking about stepping back down to a 275-285 for my next set-up to alleviate some scrubbing.

I appreciate the replies. I think I'll like the size I was just worried about rubbing. I am torn between the 18x9 and the 20x9. My next question is how can I get the front to sit a little higher than the back? Is it as easy as adding a "top plate" spacer to my existing daystar setup?

Not looking for that dumb Chevy bulldog look that I see all the time on those trucks. Haha. Just a little more lift in the front.

Hmm... Easiest thing to do to get nose high, or at least level, would be to pull your rear spacers out. I don't think adding an additional spacer to your existing one is a good (or even doable?) solution. You could get an additional pre-load spacer, which would require some spring compressor work, but if you're gonna go that route, you might as well add some FJ coils or maybe some OME's or something. Then again, if you're gonna go that route, you might as well get some new struts, like Billstien 5100's with FJ coils or some OME struts.... But then if you're gonna go that route you might as well get some adjustable coilovers... See what happens here? The more you get into it, the more the dollar value starts to creep up on you, lol. Sounds good. I guess I just wanted an easy way out. Haha. I plan on upgrading from the spacers later. Do you know if they make a smaller spacer for the back? Or can I modify the one I have?
