Hi guys,
I was trying to sell my 4Runner, and the prospective buyer noticed that the 4WD wasn't working. So I took it to the dealer, and they said it was the Tranfer Case shift actuator. They quoted me... >$2200!!
I'm not really interested in spending that much. Any suggestions? It's a 2004 4Runner Sport, V6 with 61000 miles. Should I try to tackle this myself? Is it hugely complicated? They said the part alone was $1200, and labor is $1030.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS - Is it too late to get an extended warranty?
