I have an '88 Sammy on toy axles with 5.29's, longs and 37" iroks. I was thinking about throwing a 22re in it but it's not very high on my priority list. Now it just sits behind my shop. Sorry for the crappy pic! It was rolled so I'm just gonna hack it up and tube it out if I ever have the money to put into it.

^ Thats a cool sammy! Always a good time in a samurai. I would love a 3rz tin top as a daily driver.

Thanks man. Unfortunately it's one of those projects that keeps getting put on hold. One day I'll bring her back to life. I plan on building it for my son to wheel when he gets his drivers license next year. But he wants a mildly built runner for his Daily driver. Kids nowadays:noidea:!

Oh man, I think its fair to say that if you have a 4runner there is probably a place for a samurai in you heart as well. My experience with a samurai is with the one my buddy acquired for free from a job. He chopped it to nothing besides the driver seat and the hood and front side panels, other than that it is stock. Super fun for ghetto wheeling and ramming things. I will post some pics. I like where this thread is going. Maybe a Samurai Appreciation thread is in order?

this was my first....

Striped it down, was going to stretch the frame, swap in a 16v sidekick motor & put a baja bug body on it..... Then the wife was in a serious wreck & I had to get rid of it & the idea of a massive project because we were going to loose our house.... (sold it all to try to keep the house, but still lost it in the end.)
If you have FARMERS Insurance, DUMP Them, before they Screw you like they did to us!

when things settled a bit i bought this one. (sorry for the poser shot was just trying to show flex & was by my self.)

needed a car & had some parts still from the other samurai. did a lot of work to it to get it running... made tube bumpers & nerf bars (all made from larger truck nerf bars. LOL.) Yes I like the old school tube bumper look. also ford probe seats & 4 point belts, rear roll cage, suspension work, truck bed coated interior & full under side + frame, H4 headlights, 3rd brake light, lockright locker, etc.... Was just too small & cold (for both My daughter & I) so I sold it & got the 89 4Runner..... (though I still miss the Samurai.)
