You guys ever see a 3g T4R and wonder if they're on the forum?

I see tons and tons of T4Rs especially 3gs around where I live and I always wonder if they're on the forum lol. Anyone else do this? We need stickers or something hehe.

I generally only get curious if they're modified in one way or another...

I saw a guy at Starbucks the other morning that gave me a creepy head nod... And he ordered the same drink as I did, kinda strange.

Then I went out in the parking lot and the only other vehicle was a silver 2002 Sport Edition with a Toytec decal, and no running boards parked right next to me. Clearly it'd been lifted a couple inches.

He knew what was up.

I do all the time! Every runner I see i usually give a wave if I'm in the runner. I thought about making some business cards to give out but I am not an owner or sponsor or anything, so I bought some stickers and posted them up.

Have you seen the moded 3rd Gen in the PX parking lot? When I was there for ALC it was parked there almost every day... Never got a chance to speak to the guy.

No I haven't. *scratches head* I've seen a modded 2nd gen, but that's it. I'll keep an eye out for it.

When were you here for ALC? I've been here since '08 - I work at the "NEC" (or "DOIM").

I know what you mean. My mom's coworker has a '98 with over 230k miles and I had to warn her about the pink milkshake and timing belt. I'm telling her things about her truck she had no idea about thanks to this forum.

I think I am going to start doing this to all the runners I see modded out or see another runner interested in my rig. Maybe we can get it to catch on. Just wave with 4 fingers and the thumb tucked in. Lets see if it works.

Well dang. Too bad I wasn't on here yet - I've worked on base since '08, and worked for NEC (DOIM) since August of '10. Depending on what building you were in we might have walked right past each other any # of times. LOL

And yeah, it was hot as heck here. I took to carrying one of those bandanas in my right rear pocket to mop off my forehead - thankfully my job doesn't require me to be outside a ton (work on computers/printers/servers) but still.

Everytime I see a toyota truck or 4runner with the slightest bit of personality / mod's.... " I wonder are they a member of T4R or TTORA or YotaTech?" Always give a low wave as I drive by.

Most other people here with later model 4Runners don't really seem all that interested. There's a few really nice ones on the island, but I probably look stock compared to them. Most guys here love their Tacos and those are the ones you see literally every other car or two.
