your advice on 2008 urban or wait for new 2010?

Congrats, sounds like a great vehicle. When I bought the 2004 last year, I told my wife, "it smells kind of wierd". She brought out this product call "Fabreze", it really did make that funky smell go away. Of course I have cloth seats, but I spayed it every where and it went away.

Hey I hope no ones talking trash about my Urban Runner, haha! I bought mine last December (almost 09') and love it! It has some fun features and is like a luxury vehicle-except for the amount to add-ons, ha. Anyways I enjoy the v6 because you can choose 4H, 4L, and 2H which isn't on the v8. Also like many said if you do wait most vehicles need about 1-1.5 years just so they can get the parts and whatnot working. Yes mine was not cheap, but the deal you have and the time you would have to wait, I would go with the 2008. If your anywhere near KY you can come by and checkout mine! Nonetheless, best of luck, and hope you don't change your mind and loose the 08' deal.

Hey guys,

So I was able to get my stereo installed this weekend and I decided to go with the Alpine IVA-W505/P1 instead of the Kenwood. I thought the Alpine sounded better with the JL Audio C5s.

Also, I got the interior detailed and the smoke smell is now gone. It now smells like a hotel since they shampooed the carpets and cleaned the leather. I guess I have to move one step at a time away from the 'bad smell' spectrum:

I also got the 4runner all-weather floor mats and the front skid plate too. I'm looking for the smoked headlights that I saw another poster had - anyone know where I can get those?

I was thinking many of the same thoughts all of you have posted. That if I ended up liking the new 4runner, I can wait till say, 2013 to get one and by then they may have a hybrid option.

I agree. Ive bought both of my cars used. One in October the other in September of the same year they were made. Needless to say I saved 5k off the bat. One car had 5k miles the other 9k. For me, this is the best way to purchase a car. Sure options, color, trims are limited, but saving 5k off the bat is a little more important. Good Luck.....update us with pix!!

but light years ahead of the competition.

I dwelled on this same issue myself. Ended up buying the 2009 and love it. Though the 2010 may look awesome, in the end I didn't want to buy the first version of a re-design. Let them refine what people don't like about it and then I'll buy.
