So I figured I've done enough mods at this point that I can start my own build thread. I bought my truck 3 years ago, but just really started changing it around. Here's what I have so far:

EXTERIOR:
Plastidip wheels
Westin push bar with KC HI-LITES (soon to be f/s)
20% Tint all around
Vent Visors with chrome trim
5000k HID fog/low/high (no issues with the highs yet) and yes I will get projectors eventually

Plans:
Flat black door handles to match wheels
Plastidip rear lift gate, leaving all emblems chrome
Fix my messed up rear bumped from an accident a year ago

SUSPENSION (plans)
Daystar 2.5/1.5 comfort ride kit coming by the end of the month, planning on keeping my tires (265/65)

Interior:
Dual USB switch blank mod
(http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/135307-radar-detector-usb-switch-blank.html)
HVAC/Switches blue LED conversion
Alpine HU with blue display and bluetooth mic mounted in the headliner
Alpine 3 way type S 6x9 in front doors, Alpine 2 way's in the rear doors
Weather tech mats

Soon to come:
1" silk dome tweeters
Sub upgrade with its own amp
3.5" center channel speaker mod
Blue LED gauge swap (going to attempt myself)
Blue footwell lighting

funny you say that, a buddy of mine said that it was the silver center caps on black wheels that gave it a cop-ish look. Gonna have to lift it though, feel like Im driving a bastardized 4runner...

Ya maybe , kinda the way its sitting on the st. Looks like you're busting someone or on stake out , with the bullbar yep .

Well, I ordered the daystar 2.5/1.5 lift and it should be arriving APril 12 and if me and NJshadow93 can figure it out, it will be going in that weekend!!

Meant to ask you when you'll be making a build thread lol. Lifted or not, still looks good but that extra ground clearance really makes a huge difference.

Jeez everyone has me reconsidering! Worst case I can always return the kit, but I want to see how it looks/get the experience actually putting one in.

edit nevermind I think that dude is a spammer

So are your wheels the stock 4Runner wheels? Just plasti dipped?

How has the dip faired? any peeling?

Yep! I just took out the center caps, taped off the lugs and sprayed away.

It's holding up well. Have yet to take it offroad. Worst case, I'll do another coat then clear coat, but it feels pretty strong

Really like the way your headed with this it looks good how it is right now but I'm more a lifted kind of person. If it was me since you plasti dipped the wheels I would paint the bull bar black to let everything flow nicely to me the chrome bull bar kinda sticks out a little too much being chrome (I've never liked chrome) haha just my opinion. Can't wait to see this build come along good luck

Not a bad idea. I originally wanted a black brush guard, but it was too expensive. Thanks a lot man.

If you Plasti Dip the bull bar, emblems, and roof rack, that would look pretty badass IMO

Right now i'm thinking the push bar and door handles, leaving the emblems chrome and going with the silver/chrome/black color scheme and maybe some bedliner on the running boards (they are staying)

it's funny, toyota makes painted to match door handles and roof racks and stuff such a fancy option and half of us paint them back to black....

Busy day -

took out my aftermarket radio, reset the factor setting with the factory radio, finished some more of my LED conversion (the 4wd selector) and installed my amp

I wired it to the battery, grounded on the seat bolt, rear cig lighter for turn on courtesy of ARK_SWAMP_RIDER 's thread on his sub. Now I'm just waiting for the freaking sub to come!!

Also, re-plastidipped the pass wheels - it works much better with 5-6 thin coats than one thick one...
I tried to do the door handles, but i'll wind up having to take the off, probably going to try tomorrow.

The amp all wired up - it fits perfectly under the seat.

Sub is in

Huge thanks to ARK_SWAMP_RIDER for answering all my annoying questions

ITS SOUNDS AWESOME.

i'm thrilled.

I bet that sounds much better than the jbl sub that it replaced.

Any modding needed to get the jl sub in there, or was it as simple as unscrewing old jbl sub swapping wire connections and re-screwing new jl sub? What model jl sub is that? Does that rear passenger panel in the trunk look oem still or can you tell it was modded to get the jl sub in there?

Did you keep the other 9 jbl speakers, or are those updated as well?

Yeah i had to mod the christ out of the sub box. well i had to dremel it a bunch to make it fit and the new JL has 8 bolts whereas the JBL had 6. and you could never tell! Looks totally stock

I'm running the 9 speakers off the stock amp and I upgraded the door speakers. I'm going to put a 3.5" in the dash (modding req'd) and I'm going to upgrade the door tweeters.
