how/where did you get the blue led's for the interior back lighting? did you do the dash also?

I will be doing the gauge cluster soon.

Those are all just regular LEDS - i modified them to fit the stock bulb holders with resistors.

You can use NEO leds which are easier since they have the resistor built in. Theyre available from superbrightleds.com - makes it a hel of a lot easier. Spend the extra $ and get the SMDs, they help eliminate hot spots

I also got bored of blue and changed stuff around - opinions?

They're awesome. My truck handles way better rides just like it did before the lift.

Also had a mild emergency today but everything is OK, wood absorbed the shock and the rotor is fine. Still no idea how this happened. wheels were chocked etc...

Eventful day today...

Painted the bull bar black (rather, dipped it, may enamel it eventually but iw as lazy and had some extra dip)

Also, looking for some opinions -

on this style headlight?

I think I would blackout the top or get vinyl eyelids, & keep the halos, I'm just not in love with the 3 little leds on top

They don't bother me that much, but I can tell you from past reading that most people on here hate those lights while maybe 10% think they're awesome.

The projectors aren't going to work as good as a real retrofit, but with eyelids over the DRLs they might actually look a little better.

I would probably custom fab some fiberglass ones if I went that route - I have a ton leftover from my boat restoration project. :ybrick:

Pros: They're blacked out, have a projector, I love the Halos

Yeah I guess like a vinyl sticker would work, it would save me the trouble of opening them, though I believe the lenses were held on by clips.

One of my buddies got those headlights and after 3 months they turned into an excellent fish bowl. The seals were turrible and the company wouldn't warranty it. So he went back to stock and has stayed there.

I saw a 2nd gen tacoma driving around campus with these generic aftermarket projector headlights and the light output was laughable at best. I would think they put even less usable light output vs reflectors.

Thanks for coming over hah. I forgot to reply to this, but I appreciate the input. I'd be buying the lights from a friend so I could test them out first. I know his set came with HIDs so they may be different

If I do decide to get them, I would probably fab an eyelid from fiberglass or just plastidip one. I think that could wind up looking pretty cool. We'll see.

Thanks to [MENTION=72341]NJshadow93[/MENTION] for the v8 logo. The PO had bought a color matched grill and didn't transfer this. Now everyone knows!!

I don't have them, but I totally agree. That's waht i don't really like. I was thinking I could open it up and fill them with epoxy or something and paint/fair it..

I think theres more black on the 03 ones so im leaning that way

I love these new lights. I'm debating whether or not the LED 06+ version would look better.

I've hate the pink tails since day one...

The black/silver look is really coming together. I may smoke out the third brake light on the spoiler haven't decided yet
