Hey here are the pics of the grille lights mounted. Download them for reference then delete this post. I don't want to hog space on your thread, but I couldn't link to them in a pm on my phone.

I used the horn mounting bracket for the right one, but I had to drill a hole to mount the left one. You can see where I relocated the horns on the lower cross member.

Any advise / tips / tricks on removing the front stock bumper
Need to install a hitch there
And don't want to have to duct tape it back on

dont break it :becky:

take off all the bolts, theres a hidden few in the fender liner on the top going up into the fender with an access hole, dont forget about it. Dont be afraid to pull hard to get it off the clips.

Where are your lift and tires?

funny you should ask
i have had all the parts to transform my truck just sitting here for months now
all i have done is replace the cv's.....
my deck looks like a truck store
sliders, hitch, full skids, coils, ect
all i have done is use the truck no time to work on it.....
oh well
but could use the front hitch...just i am not very good at being genital with plastic parts......
so if there is something that's going to break id like to have a spare ready to go
and i am waiting on my rear tire setup which i will decide which way i am going with it in a week or 2......
poor mans bumper swing out......
just waiting to see if i get the spare bumper cover to hack up so i can go back to stock if needed.......

yeah i know that feeling, mods have been slow lately, i need to send my shocks off for rebuild and stuff. Do a thread on your rear setup, im interested to see how it turns out. The front can take some abuse just make sure you get all the bolts out.

Thanks man, for sure. When are you moving? I know, I need to buff them, I busted my ass for months on those retros and they're all hazy..

My sister and her family are moving sometime later this month or early August. I'm hoping I get to visit sometime but with work and school it'll be hard. The retros are sweet! I'd love a set but I don't like fooling with electronics.

Installed FJ rear springs, TRD 16's and Duratracs.

Were you only running FJ springs in the rear? Or did you have them in the front too? How much lift did you gain with them? I am really considering running these with my Daystars and XREAS

i used to run FJs and daystar spacers rear. I also had daystars with stock. IIRC in those photos it was DS all around and FJ rear springs. If you're replacing the springs may as well get rid of the tired XREAS shocks, sell the DS kit and get a toytec or similar

I would, but dont want to spend a lot of money because I plan on selling this 4Runner and buying an FJ within a year just wanted to get some extra height out of it without busting the bank.
