Zerks! How many and where?

I think I have the "driveline" clunk going on. Would make sense since I have not gotten down there and greased anything in 10k miles and have no idea the last time it was done by the previous owner. So now I have been trying to find all the zerks to knock it out. Only problem is I don't know how many I should be looking for. Any help?

Guess my searching skills need to be honed. Been looking for two days for this writeup....thanks for the info.

That's a nice write up, good find quicksilver! The goggles are the most important tool for the job. Grease and eyeballs don't mix. I would suggest a small pair of vise grips for the coupling at the end of the grease gun. It really helps with applying enough pressure to lock onto the zerk and to maneuver the coupling in between the u-joints.

Thats a good tip 004Gunner about using the vice grips! Wish I had thought of that before! I always had a hard time with one or two of the zerks just in trying to get the damn tip to stay on there!

So did they standardize the type of grease in 2000 like mentioned on that site or do you still have to use two different types? Would a multipurpose grease work?
