Down below pics are my first of many many mods on my new 2010 Limited when I first brought her home.
They were chrome and had to go The only thing that was actual real chromed steel and not chrome painted plastic.

I also ordered a front 2 inch spacer lift kit to level it out and a Spidertrax spacer kit to bring the wheels out more. I have a set of 17inch FJ wheels to go on already but waiting to see how big of tire I can put on it. I'm shooting for 285/70/17 BFG AT KO's.

Good looking rig!!!

I got the 3/2 level kit from Toytec, think its actually a 3/1.5. I am looking to run the same size tire. Let me know what you get to fit, what trimming you had to do etc. I will do the same. Looks like we are the 1st ones to attempt to mod this thing out a little. Good luck.

I just bought an SR5 yesterday. I was thinking about buying the crossbars, but now I may just take it off. Looks good, thanks for the idea.

I can't decide whether the Limited needs extra fender flares or not..it looks like it's missing something (aside from the roof rack in this case! lol). Maybe I'm just too used to the 4th Gen.

Funny you mention that as I just got back from trying to get the 2 inch front spacer I bought from you installed to level it out. Both 4wheel shops I went to were scared of the X-REAS suspension and said to take it the dealer.I'm doing research on X-REAS now.I was going to do it myself but it's too dang cold and damp out in my garage!

I did change out the shifter over the weekend to a B&M leather one that I had on a Porsche 911. I couldn't get used to the new shift knobs/slabs in the 5th's.

The new shift knob looks way better. Don't know what Toyota was thinking with that 2nd gen Tundra shift knob.

Here's a question...seeing that the 4WD changer is right next to the cup holder, do you suppose it would be easy to fashion a protective device to go over the changer? Only I'd be scared my starbucks would go flying and spill all over it....with the old 3rd Gen stick shift 4WD that wasn't a problem because of the leather skirt thing, and of course the 4th Gen had it up by the ignition.

Harper7 just got the new tires on. I am running 275/60R20. With a Toytec 3" spacer up front and new Toytec 2" rear coils. The fronts do rub under full lock and compression. I need to trim inner fender wells a little and should be fine. Let me know how you work out.

Hey BFLAN.... Your 5th looks great lifted. Congrats!!!

Two local 4wheel shops wouldn't put my front Toytec 2 inch spacer on this morning because of my XREAS shocks on my Limited.Well the one would do it but did'nt know how and scared me away when they said I would have to go to the dealer to have them filled back up with oil when they were done!

I am a mechanic and usually do all my own work anyways ,just been working 12 hour days and my garage is'nt heated. I will put them in myself this week end.

As far as tires, I ordered 275/70/17 BFG AT KO's . They came in today and have a appointment for tomorrow at 1pm. to put them on.I thought 285/70 17's would rub in the front.I have 1.25 inch spidertrax wheel spacers in the front to go on also.

Did you have a 4th Gen? The inner fender wells on these 5th's are alot thinner then 4th's. Almost paper thin and then they ribbed them to get extra strength. Those ribs in the front are where they looked like they will probably rub so I went with 275's instaed of 285's.

Looks good without the roof rack. Why did Toyota even bother putting a roof rack on without running boards? How can you easily get stuff on and off without them?

Thanks!! I love it. I never had a 4th Gen. Had a Tahoe before this, FJ Cruiser before that, Tahoe before that, and a bunch of Land Cruisers prior. I am very pleased, I loved the FJ but it was too small, and the rear door was a pain. I am so glad to be out of that Tahoe, you forget how quiet a car really is when its not rattling and falling apart.
