Added a Taco hood bumper here based on the suggestion of [MENTION=198376]4Runner4Leon[/MENTION]
It minimizes hood flex by providing another support point. I trimmed a teeny strip out of the cowl with a razor blade and popped the bumper in

With the hood shut you can see where it is touching

Got my Lil Skip gas tank skid prepped and installed with the expert help of [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION]
This is a very straightforward install and it comes with good and clear instructions.

Primed and painted out by the woodshed. Took 2 cans of each to get good coverage.

More fun with the Rocky Mtn roof rack. I'm starting to get the hang of how to efficiently attach things to this.

Mounts for Fuelpax

Some scrap angle and a couple nylon spacers worked well to make a post mount for my little camp table. It didn't even fall off when driving on the highway :car:

It is. It's from the 97-01 CRV. It's a great sturdy little table.

I also finally made use of my Stubbs sliders

Hundreds of miles of dusty roads loaded up the foam pre-filter quite nicely, leaving the paper air filter squeaky clean as intended.

That foam filter is great. What a difference.

Is it oiled or dry? Just placed in the bottom of the airbox? Do you notice any change in the engine with the added filtration?

[MENTION=102449]Kanoe[/MENTION] I use the spray UNI filter foam. It's easy to clean and reoil. I found that a bath in warm dish soapy water takes out most of the stuff. I think put it in a bath of rubbing alcohol to finish and let it dry out. You could probably run it without oil and still get a significant benefit. I notice no difference in power with it in. It is indeed placed under the filter in the airbox.
[MENTION=102168]owyheerat[/MENTION] the CRV table is 31"x21" and about 1-1/4" thick (though the table itself is a bit bowed).

Hey Durwin, I'm not sure I have enough data to conclude if gas mileage increased. It did feel like power increased slightly but it might have been wishful thinking

That being said I have driven the crap out of this truck since the doing the mod. Long, uphill climbs 4000rpm+ at WOT. No problems with the header.

I didn't change anything else. It's certainly not louder and it didn't change that much, just a little throatier.

Looking back through the original records of the truck I see that the dealership changed the manifold at 185k since it had cracked. This for me is further proof that the cast iron manifold is not a good design and the steel header is an upgrade.

BTW, in the video I had painted the header with some ceramic Eastwood paint. Despite my best efforts it did not adhere and it all flaked off. Don't bother!

Hey Durwin, yes the foam is still working and is comfortable. For some reason I can't find a link to this stuff but it was just a basic 1/2" thick foam from eBay.

Installed new motor mounts and transmission mount today with the help of [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION]. Thanks, Timmy!

The old motor mounts were hanging on but had significant cracks developing. The transmission mount was in better shape but I wanted to do them all together as PM
