Lift options tundra TRD springs vs toytec eibach 620

Well I have purchased all the components of the budget lift all new except for used lc 7-8 wrap coils (double purple,blue,white). Tundra 5100 for front and LC OEM shocks for rear, tundra TRD yy coils, panhard drop, extended brake lines, diff drop, tundra top hat bushing.

I purchased truck last month, front and rear shocks are bad and rear tall springs are sagging, thought I'd do a lift since need shocks anyway.

Before I install next weekend I recently saw that toytec offers a 620 eibach coils that will give a 3" of lift on bottom perch of 5100's, I'm afraid of the huge rake I've been seeing posted on this forum.. I don't mind buying the eibachs from toytec and selling the TRD coils at a discount.

I've done searches and all info is outdated, my 4runner is stock don't plan on adding an off road front bumper or winch, 99% on road driving. 99 4runner 3.4

I'll take your TRD coils if you sell em. FWIW, I had the Eibachs on my 2000 and loved em. For this build I wanted to not go so high though.
 
I can almost guarantee you'll have a helluva rake using the LC coils in the rear. Mine was 2-3" taller in the back than the front with the Bilsteins on the 3rd perch and the same LC springs.
 
I did read over that post but didn't find anything really useful. I've also read that billstein 5100 shouldn't be set anything higher then the 3rd perch (will cause shocks to blow easier). So why are the tudra TRD coils so popular compared to the toytec eibachs 620 since you can get an easy 3" of lift at 1st perch with the eibachs.. Also the eibachs are similar overall diameter to the stock 4runner coils, so no grinding of the spindle. An lastly eibachs are cheaper. Lol

I believe they became popular before the Eibachs were a well known option. Take it from me, 3rd perch makes for one uncomfortable ride. Now, sell me those coils!

Awesome, I'm going to look over that in detail. Oh boy, it feels very good to be back. This build should be pretty wild in the end.

Mine is smoother than it was with the stock springs. It's no longer 1/2" from being on the bumpstops.

I welcome anyone that thinks a T4R has a rough ride to come take a ride in my '97 F350.
 
I just installed the Toytec/Eibach's on the front on the lowest perch with LC 7.5/8wraps in the back. The rake really isn't too bad IMHO. I have about a 1.5 in rake after all has settled and I think I got just over 3 inches of lift in the front. I love the ride. I thought the 620 lb coils would be too stiff but it's really not bad at all. I utilized a 1/4 spacer on the driver's side front and that brought the front hub measurements dead even with each other. I know I have heard of people running these springs on the second perch but that seems like it would net a lot of lift and a stiff ride.

If you want less rake maybe the Toytec Superflex coils in the back?

Just finished installing toytec 620 paired with tundra 5100 bilsteins on first perch, with lc coils dp/b/w with OEM lc shocks in rear. I'm happy with the little rake I have might have to install the rear spring cone bushings for a little more rake if it settles too much.

I am having a slight vibration felt on the gas pedal when vehicle is moving though. Maybe alignemnet will help idk

Do you know what year your LC's were off of? This is the exact rake I'm looking for. Have you had any kind of weight in the back, and if so, how much and how much did it drop the rear? I am finding it really difficult to locate any LC springs around here, so I think I'm just going to buy them new from an online toyota parts place. I would assume they would be a bit taller since they would be new, but I would have enough weight in the back to make up for it.

Not sure about the year but they were purple purple light blue white and purple purple dark blue white. This is a 7.5 wrap on the passenger and an 8 wrap on the driver side. I had probably 800-1000 pounds of steel shelving (not voluntarily) in the back at one point and it sagged surprisingly little but from what I have read I would expect more. I did alo of reading before the lift and if you want a touch but not a ton of rake the Superflex could from Toytec may be worth looking into. I don't have any personal experience but it seems like a good option for your lift. Hope this helps!

Haven't driven it much after lift since couldn't get alignment done. Tie rod adjustment nut seized with rust. No added weight in the rear, spare tire removed. Also I didn't reinstall rubber cone stops on top of springs.
 
I have been looking at the superflex springs. I'm concerned that they wont hold up to the amount of weight I could have at different times. I'll have around 100 to 150 lbs on a daily basis, then double that just from my rottweiler. Then we start talking about camping gear, water, fuel, spare tires, extra parts, well, you get the idea.

I have also been looking at the OME 861 springs as well. Just worried that they might be too stiff. I can get the factory new springs for the LC's but all of the sites I've looked at (toyotapartsoverstock.com, toyotapartszone.com, etc) don't give the color codes, so it is hard to know exactly what they are.

What size tires are you running? I plan on going with the 285's. I have 265's right now, so what I think I will end up doing is getting the superflex springs now, and then when I move up in tire size, and add armor, I'll have to get the 861's.
